Don’t Let Pop Under Ad Take Over Your Site Identity

I was not aware that when you install a script for pop under ad, it could take over your site identity until I watched a video by one of the Internet Marketer yesterday.

The Google Toolbar has an button for “Cached snapshot of page” which can show you a snapshot of your website that has been cached by Google. One use of this feature is to see what Google see on your site. By looking at the text information display by the “cached snapshot”, you can make changes to your website to improve the SEO aspect of your site.

When I tried the “cached snapshot of page” on one of my site last week, I saw that Google has cached a snapshot of that site which I have recently changed completely. At first I thought this must be due to the timing but after reviewing the text information displayed, I realized that Google has not cached the revamped site at all because as far as Google is concern, it is only seeing the URL of the pop under ad.

I had installed a script for monster splash recently on this website and this ad actually took over my website completely. The URL displayed on the browser is the URL of the ad and the title displayed is no longer my website but the ad title. I saw it when I first implemented the script but I don’t understand the implication then. Now that I have use the “cached snapshot of the page” feature I finally know got it. and that’s the reason why Google has not cached a snapshot of my revamped website at all for the last month or so because it didn’t see my site instead it see the site of the ad all the time.

I quickly removed the pop under ads scripts from all my websites and now Google bot is correctly caching a snapshot of my revamped website. I just check again as I write this post and Google bot has just crawled my site and captured a snapshot just two hours ago.

If you are actively using pop under ad, please make sure that the URL and the title displayed in your browser is that of your website and not from the ad itself.

Not that I have seen how Google is “seeing” my site, the other way to improve the SEO of the site is really to look at an SEO optimized theme. That will be my next target.

Hope this help.

Maximizing Ads and Traffic with Monster Splash

I just got an email that a new site just launched. This new site is something that is expected to be huge and unmissable.

Monster Splash is an amazing advertising program that can help you to get ultra targeted ads and all for free. Monster Logiscape is well know in the traffic exchange industry, and they just launched Monster Splash.

This is like a traffic exchange, but it isn’t in the traditional sense. You are still trading views, but rather than you view the ads you get to leverage your traffic to work for you.

Using this program, you can actually place ads on other people’s websites that are targeted to your offer. It is something you really need to see for yourself.

It is real simple: You add your site to the system, and they give you a special link. You can then use that link to tell people about your site, and it shows an ad for 10 seconds over your site.

There are 3 types of view: bottom, center, and right so you get to pick how much virtual real estate to be used for those 10 seconds. Then you get to submit your ads to be shown on other people sites. I have chosen the bottom view as shown below.

Theoretically you can put the code on every page but it is not advisable to get carried away. Just put it on your home page will do as seeing it once is enough or else it will kill your user experience.

With Monster Splash you can get quality targeted advertising at zero cost.

So, is there a catch?

There is no catch! The program is designed to tap into the existing power of the websites you are already promoting. And best of all, you don’t even need to own any websites in order for this work!

Since it won’t cost you anything to sign up for your free account, you really need to see this for yourself.
